This guide is not a walkthrough on quests, but a guide full of tips that will help you, as well as those around you, have a more enjoyable ROSE experience.

I hope you like this guide.

All players begin ROSE as a visitor. Between levels 1-9, you are unable to pick your first job. The first ten levels fly by pretty quickly. At level ten, you can visit Warren in Zant, who will allow you to pick your first job. You can choose one of the following jobs:

Muse - Training themselves to communicate and harmonize with the universe, Muses can use magical spells derived from the elements. Although they are only able to use basic magic, Muses are welcome in parties for the power of their spells which surpass that of any wielded weapon.
At level 100, Muses can choose to become either a Mage (specializing in offensive magic),
or a Cleric (specializing in healing/buffing).

Dealer - Dealers that travel around the planets to trade rare products have one important policy in business: Buy anything cheap and sell it at a high price. They are also very good at crafting items and selling those to make a profit.
At level 100, Dealers can choose to become either a Bourgeois (specializing in business, trading, and hiring Mercanaries), or an Artisan (specializing in crafting).

Soldier - With formidable attack strength and physical endurance, Soldiers protect their comrades from enemies and eliminate evil monsters. Although they cannot use magic, they can use almost every type of weapon in order to inflict more damage onto enemies in battles.
At level 100, Soldiers can choose to become either a Knight (specializing in defense)
or a Champion (specializing in offense).

Hawker - Hawkers are born to be adventurers who love exploring dangerous or legendary places that others may fear. They have various abilities and skills that are ideal for exploring dangerous areas.
At level 100, Hawkers can choose to become either a Scout (specializing in leading expenditions) or a Raider (specializing in assasination).

Important Note: You can reset your stats (str, con, etc) in Zant once before level 40. If you wish to reset your stats any time after that, you will need to purchase a reset coupon from the Item Mall (in another version)

Everyone always says "Pick everything up". And they are right! Zulie, Items, Materials... it all adds up, especially depending on where you are hunting. Starting out, it may be a bit slow making money, but once you learn what things are and what they are worth, making money is pretty easy. Keep the following tips in mind:

- NEVER sell your materials to NPCs (Non Player Characters). You will get much more for it by either finding a player purchasing them, or by selling them in a shop yourself. If you don't want to bother with a shop, and don't find a player
buying the item, stick it in storage. It will build up!
- Always shop around before buying or selling anything. You may find things you want to buy are cheaper, or things you want to sell are more expensive if you shop around. Never rush to buy/sell anything until you understand what
things are worth.
- Never sell any items to Player Shops in any city other than Junon (especially not Zant). If you don't know what it's worth, don't sell it. A lot of players set up shop in Zant to make a profit buying items for cheap, trying to trick "newbies" who don't know any better, just to re-sell in Junon at a higher price.
- Write things down! I do. I keep a list of what Bidrunes, Tailsman, Drills, Cap Stones, and other items go for. Just for my information to avoid mistakes.

Items to Look out for:
The following items always sell for a lot. Be especially careful with these when selling them:
* CPSC = Current Player Shop Cost, what players will BUY these items for. Keep in mind these will change based on supply and demand. This is not to give you a base for what to sell your items at, but to give you an idea of the going PURCHASE costs for these items. Again, I repeat, NEVER sell anything before shopping around.

Note: Usually you will get more if you sell the item in your shop yourself. These prices are purchase costs, usually priced for a nice amount of zulie, but as a quick sale. Personally, I would much rather find a reliable shop buying the items I have, for the right price. AGAIN, SHOP AROUND! For example :

- 1st Grade Tailsman (CPSC 16,000)
- 1st Grade Bindrune (CPSC 4,000)
- 2nd Grade Tailsman (CPSC 18,000)
- 2nd Grade Bindrune (CPSC 7,000)
- 3rd Grade Tailsman (CPSC 30,000)
- 3rd Grade Bindrune (CPSC 5,000)
- 4th Grade Tailsman (CPSC 28,000)
- 4th Grade Bindrune (CPSC 4,000)
- 5th Grade Tailsman (CPSC 39,000)
- 5th Grade Bindrune (CPSC 18,000)
- 6th Grade Tailsman (CPSC 115,000)
- 6th Grade Bindrune (CPSC 60,000)
- Mythril Drill (CPSC 250,000)
- Orihalcon Drill (CPSC 350,000)
- Adamantium Drill (CPSC 700,000)
- Capricornus Stone (CPSC 120,000)
- Low Essence (CPSC 285,000)
- Little Devil Feathers (CPSC 200,000)
- Little Angel Feathers (CPSC 200,000)
- Patterned Leather (CPSC 20-25,000)
- Stealth Skillbook (CPSC 150-200,000)

There are more than these that sell for plenty, but this is all I personally keep track of at this time. It is up to you to figure out for yourself the going buying/selling rate for items. I repeat again, never sell (or buy) anything before shopping around.

Another case where this "keeping a list" comes in handy. Watch what people are selling items for in their shops. If you don't do this, someone else will, so keep an eye out. Sometimes people won't look at the shops around them before selling items.

Pay attention, be smart, and you'll bring the money in.

Tip for collecting items while hunting:

- Hitting CTRL on your keyboard makes all names of dropped items appear on your
screen. If you don't plan on picking everything up, check what an item is easily with CTRL.

- ALT+CTRL will keep the drop loot names on screen at all times. (CTRL to turn it off).

Everyone will agree, that sometimes you find not so pleasant people in ROSE. That's true for anywhere, online, or in real life. But out of respect for other players, please be kind and courteous to all players when in ROSE.

- When getting a buff from a Muse/Cleric, say Please. Say thank you. More than likely if you walk up to someone and just say "Buff me", "Buff Me NOWWWWW", "AMBASSADOR BUFFFFFF MEEEEE!" ... You will NOT get a buff. It takes two seconds to say,
"May I have a buff please?", and two more to say "Thank you." Please avoid "leet speak" if possible, it just makes you look stupid. Many of us muses keep track of those who are rude or inconsiderate. You don't want to end up on our 'No Buff' lists.

Something to add that I just found out about, and something that has happened to me. Both myself, and the person I play with, we are both only around level 70. If you ask someone for a buff, and they're not as high level as you thought, don't be rude.
I have recieved comments as "You call that a buff?" and she, just today, was told "If you're not high enough to give the high level buffs, you shouldn't buff people." If no one else is buffing, doesn't every little bit help? Come on.

This works for any situation. You need a buff? Need something crafted? Someone give you something for free, or discounted, or someone answered your question. Whatever it may be, please say Thank you. Be polite. Being rude to people just gives you a bad name, and people do remember, and they do tell their friends.

I hear all the time that people wished more people played naROSE. How many of newbies don't give the game a chance just because multiple people were rude to them? If you guys seriously want people in this game, please be considerate. Unless someone
is rude to me, I am always polite to everyone I meet. I buff anyone who asks (politely) and I always answer questions or help others who ask when I am able.

Closing Tips:
- Say Please.
- Say Thank You.
- Don't drive unsuspecting newbies to DOD (Dessert Of The Death) just to kill them.
- Respect the hunting areas of those around you. If you are not partied with them, and they were there first, don't kill everything around them. Be polite, go to another area, or another channel.

These are just things I have noticed when playing ROSE, and things I thought I would share that others just beginning may find useful. I know there are a few things in here that some people don't want me making public, but if it's something that
exploits a new player, it should be made public. Everyone has to start somewhere. No one begins at maxx level. You were a "newbie" once, too. Everyone should have the same opportunity to enjoy this game no matter if they are level 1, or level 250.

I will add more to this guide when I think of it. If theres something you think should be included, please let me know!
